SALES TO SUPPORT EDIBLE MAGAZINE PUBLISHERS

Edible Communities, the award-winning network of more than 80 independently-owned, locally-focused food magazines, has launched a new cookbook to benefi t Edible publishers across the U.S. and Canada.

“We wanted to celebrate and support our publishers who are doing so much for their communities during a challenging time,” said Tracey Ryder, co-founder of Edible Communities. “Every one of our local magazines is advertiser-supported, and with so many local businesses suffering right now, we needed to pivot toward other revenue sources. This cookbook is one of the ways we’re doing that.”

The cookbook features more than 80 recipes, photographs, illustrations, podcasts and videos from publications across the U.S. and Canada. It’s available for download for $20 by visiting www.ediblecommunities. com/edible-cookbook.

“We are excited to participating in this project,” said Edible Door Editor Jon Gast. “This is an exceptionally high quality product that will introduce you to regional treats throughout North America.”

“From Alaska to Florida and Southern California to Toronto, ‘Recipes for Home’ features seasonal recipes influenced by the regions they represent,” Ryder said.

From the Cookbook’s Introduction: After 18 years as a leading food media company, we remain steadfast in our belief that quality storytelling has the power to effect change and impact lives in profound ways. Now more than ever, we are determined to fi nd opportunity in the face of challenge and to collaborate and support one another in new ways. As an organization we have strengthened and stretched ourselves. We have gone to great lengths to ensure our publishers and our company come out the other side of this crisis and that we all eventually thrive again. And we are making sure that our mission of telling powerful, important stories continues for years to come.
