EGGS BEING SERVED UP AGAIN IN EGG HARBOR

Never has an egg looked so good.

EGGstravaganza is a summer long event featuring large scale eggs that have been created into masterpieces of art! There will be a variety of unique eggs displayed throughout The Village of Egg Harbor. The 28 egg sculptures were created by artists utilizing different media; paint, mosaics, glass and metal.

This unique event is being “cooked up” as a cooperative effort between the Public Arts Initiative and the Egg Harbor Business Association to celebrate the Village of Egg Harbor’s 55th anniversary and to support visual public arts in the community.

It gives artists the opportunity to display their talent and creativity in an unconventional setting.

A live auction of the eggs will be held on August 17 at the Donald and Carol Kress Pavilion. Bidding starts at 6 p.m. For those who cannot attend the auction, proxy bidding will be available. Proceeds from the auction will be used to support the artist and to purchase new permanentpublic art for the village.Maps will be available for spectators to participate in an “egg hunt.”

Event sponsors include Be Beauty Boutique, Edible Door, Donald and Carol Kress and Nicolet National Bank.
