The traditions of our culture – what wonderful memories left by our parents, grandparents, great-grandparents. I remember my mother teaching me what her mother taught her. Included in those are the traditions of our culture for the holidays, and the most special holiday is Christmas. We also celebrate the Virgin of Guadalupe and the birth of Baby Jesus.

Families and friends come together and make traditional foods like the tamales and buñuelos (Mexican Christmas fritters). These traditions were carried over by us as we moved to different parts of the world.

I moved to Wisconsin and started bridging cultures by celebrating our culture and preparing traditional foods.
